Apples

Apples

Slice 3 or 4 apples into 6 parts. I leave the skin on for more nutritional value, but it's not necessary. Place in small sauce pan and cover with water. Boil until apples are very soft. Put into food processor or blender and blend until smooth. You will need to add 2-3 tablespoons of the water that you cooked the apples in while blending. If the skin was not removed you will need to strain the apples. Put into ice cube trays and freeze. After apples are frozen remove from tray and put frozen apple cubes into ziplock freezer bag. Can be frozen up to 6 months.

This same process can be done with peaches, nectarines, and pears. Less water is needed when pureeing pears.
